Yesterday Huawei and Etisalat announced the launch of the Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design and the Mate 9 Pro in the UAE.
Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design
The Mate 9 Porsche Design can be purchased exclusively from Etisalat at a standalone price of Dh5,250 or on 12-, 18- or 24-month plans valued at Dh447, Dh301 and Dh229 respectively.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro
The Mate 9 Pro can be purchased exclusively from Etisalat at a standalone price fo Dh2,949 or on 12-, 18- or 24-month plans valued at Dh251, Dh169 and Dh129 respectively.
Specifications
While the Porsche Design Mate 9 will be available in graphite black only, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro will be available in haze gold and titanium gray.
Common features between both devices include a 5.5-inch AMOLED QHD screen, 6GB of RAM and a giant 4,000mAh battery with Huawei’s Super Charge technology. Apart from differences in the appearance (and price), the Mate 9 Pro comes with 128GB storage while the Porsche Design model comes with an exclusive 256GB storage option.
Both devices also come with the same camera setup seen in the Huawei Mate 9. The camera is the second generation of the product since the company partnered with Leica to produce smartphone cameras last year. They both feature a 12-megapixel RGB sensor and a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor, as well as an 8MP front camera.
