Technology behind the GPU series

The new cards from NVIDIA feature several world firsts. They come with HDMI 2.1 for increased bandwidth support and become the first discrete GPUs with support for the new AV1 codec, enabling gamers to watch up to 8K HDR internet video using as much at 50 per-cent less bandwidth.

More of the changes come with design, with the GPU systems featuring a dual-axial, flow-through thermal solutions for up to 2x more cooling. Not just that, you also get a stronger mechanical structure with a low-profile leaf spring and a new 12-pin power connector. This allows for more space and is compatible with 8-pin connectors in existing power supplies with the included adapter.

Gaming tools

With NVIDIA’s new RTX series, you benefit from NVIDIA Reflex, which can optimize and measure system latency by up to 50 per-cent. More so, live streamers can use NVIDIA Broadcast to turn any room into a broadcast studio. It can transform standard web-cameras and microphones into smart devices with effects like Audio Noise Removal and Virtual Background Effects. There are range of other tools the cards come with including NVIDIA Studio and Omniverse Machinima.
