In what is a bold move, Nokia’s 9 Pureview was showcased to the public today at MWC 2019. The device brings a unique design, impressive hardware and a high-end flagship user experience.
The Nokia 9 Pureview comes with a penta-camera ZEISS setup that houses three monochrome lenses and two RGB ones. They all feature an f/1.8 aperture and have a 12MP resolution.
With the cameras working in tandem, the smartphone takes pictures with incredible depth and AI control. It can capture up to 1,200 layers of depth and give you total creative freedom with 12.4 stops of dynamic range. It can capture RAW images for easy editing in Adobe Lightroom and features a true monochrome mode. The results of this mode are authentic and capture up to 2.9x more detail.
On-board, you will find Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor with 6GB memory. For the penta-camera to function properly, the full potential of the processor is used in heterogenous computing to effectively split the work among the cores of the CPU.
The penta-cameras will not work for 4K video recording via the primary camera though. In this case, only a single-lens will be used which will come with optical image stabilization. On the flipside, the secondary front camera is a 20MP shooter.
Aside the core camera, the phone houses a 5.99-inch p-OLED Quad HD+ Pureview display with an in-screen fingerprint scanner. There is Gorilla Glass 5 on both sides of the phone with a premium aluminium design to accompany.
While there is no provision of the 3.5mm headphone jack, you will find features such as IP67 water and dust resistance, NFC and wireless charging for the 3,320mAh battery.
