Start-up Movement kicks off Gitex Technology Week

and it's a must-see for anyone looking to invest or start fresh!

Gitex Technology Week has always been the biggest showcase of what’s to come in the region. While the big boys like Etisalat, Samsung and Panasonic have made major announcements every year, 2016 sees the start of the show marked with the Gitex Start-up Movement.

Gitex Start-up Movement

The Gitex Start-up Movement is an initiative aimed at providing the right opportunities for businesses and entrepreneurs. If you’re walking into the Start-up Zones in Zabeel Halls 4,5,6 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, you’ll be able to:

  1. Source and partner: Find investors and potential partners for your business.
  2. Learn and share: Even if you aren’t looking to specifically invest or open a business, Start-up Zones are a great way to meet companies from all over the world. They’re also a great way to experience technologies of the future from various countries.

There are more than 410 start-ups from 61 countries including India, Nigeria and Poland at this year’s Gitex Start-up Movement. The largest group of start-ups are from right here in the UAE.

The show was inaugurated today by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, who took a tour of the Start-up Zones and checked out stalls from a variety of countries to see what was on offer.
