Spotify and Riot Games join hands for a League of Legends e-sports partnership

Spotify‘s first-ever e-sports partnership comes with Riot Games making the streaming platform the exclusive and first global audio service provider for League of Legends. This will create a unique and seamless audio universe for League of Legends fans across the world including the Middle East and North Africa.

Official League of Legends e-sports hub

The partnership stems from gaming enthusiasts not only playing but also streaming the League of Legends soundtrack over 4.8 million times a month. Thus, Spotify is taking the importance of music in League of Legends one step further by creating a hub. This will include new and existing music, podcasts and playlists inspired by the gaming community.

Noble music moments

Spotify is also giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of the Worlds Anthem via the Worlds Anthem Takeover on Spotify. This highly anticipated track is the hero song for the game this year.

Original podcasts

Both Spotify and Riot Games are also working to create several new League of Legends podcasts. Untold Stories: Top Moments from Worlds, a 9-episode series leading up to the 10th League of Legends World Championship this fall will be the first. Listeners will be able to learn about top players and anthems through game highlights, recorded interviews, sound effects and new interviews with key players. Over the years, the plan is to evolve this podcast further.
