Sony releases the α6300 in the UAE

This week at the GPP2016 in Dubai, Sony launched the successor of its α6000 mirrorless camera. The Sony α6300 was launched at the event hosted by iconic portrait photographer Brian Smith. He also announced the new Sony G Master brand of interchangeable camera lenses.

The α6300 camera is equipped with a newly developed 24.2 MP APS-C sized Exmor CMOS sensor that works together with a BIONZ X image processing engine and has an ISO sensitivity range of ISO 100 – 51200.  The new α6300 can also shoot and record 4K video with full pixel readout and no pixel binning in the popular Super 35mm format. The camera boasts a 4D FOCUS system that can lock focus on a subject in as little as 0.05 seconds, which, Sony says, is the world’s fastest AF acquisition time. Additionally, the α6300 has a 425 phase detection AF points that are densely positioned over the entire image area – the world’s highest number of AF points on any interchangeable lens camera – and can shoot images at up to 11 frames per second with continuous autofocus and exposure tracking.

The G Master lenses include three E-mount full frame lenses with a 24-70mm constant F2.8 standard zoom, an 85mm F1.4 prime and a 70-200mm constant F2.8 telephoto zoom.

The α6300 with SELP1650 lens will be available in select Middle East countries from March.
