An upgrade to its highly successful T5 Solid State Drives (SSDs), Samsung announced its latest T7 Touch SSD at CES. It combines a sleek and compact design with the fastest transfer speeds currently available based on the USB 3.2 Gen 2 standard.

Suitable for both professional and casual use

The SSD is designed for a variety of use cases. It provides enough capacity to securely store a large number of pictures, games and high resolution videos.

You can use Samsung’s T7 Touch on numerous devices

This can be done through your PC, tablet, smartphone or game console. Not just that, the drive provides you with the durability to take your data anywhere.

A significant speed upgrade

The T7 Touch offers a big speed boost over previous storage solutions. With a read speed of 1,050MB/s and a write speed of 1,000MB/s, it is approximately twice as fast as its predecessor, the T5. Not just this, it is up to 9.5 times faster than external hard disk drives (HDDs).

Security is key

For added protection, the T7 Touch brings the first built-in fingerprint scanner to Samsung SSDs. This is on top of the usual password protection and AES 256-bit hardware encryption. It also features a ‘Motion LED’, which allows users to determine the status of the device with a single glance.

Variety of choices

Samsung’s T7 Touch will be available starting this month in 30 countries, in a black or silver finish. It will be offered with a 500GB, 1TB or 2TB storage configuration. To ensure reliable connectivity, the drive comes with a Type-C USB-to-C-cable and a Type-A USB-to-A cable, compatible with Windows, Mac and Android operating systems. With a three-year limited warranty, the 500GB variant will cost $129.99 (Dh477.45), $229.99 (Dh844.75) for the 1TB and $399.99 (Dh1,469.16) for the 2TB.
