According to Bloomberg, 2017 could be the year when we finally see bendable, rollable screens from Samsung hit the market. As indicated by the revolutionary curved screens on the Galaxy Edge models, Samsung now seems to be at the forefront of introducing new technologies to the mobile industry.
It has been rumoured that a pair of devices will be launched with flexible OLED screens, where one will fold like a cosmetic compact and the other will morph from a 5-inch smartphone screen to a 8-inch tablet-sized display. It’s going to be quite impressive to see how Samsung manages to pull these off next year.
Project Valley, as it has been codenamed, was announced as early as 2015, and Samsung had told the world then that they could expect a 2016 release. However, this is clearly a 2017 project as mentioned earlier. Both devices will offer consumers the ability to fit larger-than-normal displays into their pockets.
