Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 gets officially launched but quietly

Samsung's new tablet promises performance and style

Samsung officially launched the rumoured Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 yesterday, and the flagship tablet has quite a bit going on inside.

Samsung Tab S4: Specs

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 comes with a massive 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. The tablet does come with smaller bezels than its previous iterations, as well as improved performance. Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 comes with a Qualcomm MSM8998 processor supported by 4GB of RAM. Storage options include 64/256GB, expandable up to 400GB via microSD card. The tablet also comes with a 7,300mAh battery, and runs Android 8.1 Oreo.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 comes with a 13MP rear camera capable of shooting 4K videos and an 8MP front-facing camera. As seen with newer Samsung devices, the flagship tablet will also include the digital assistant Bixby. However, most features will only be available after a 2019 update.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 also comes with the S-Pen. The stylus will work identical to the Note 8‘s S Pen, allowing users to navigate UI, draw or write notes.

Samsung Tab S4: Accessories galore

Samsung also announced a wide range of accessories for the Galaxy Tab S4. These include a keyboard case that magnetically attaches to the device, converting it to the Samsung Dex layout. You can also opt for a protective book case as well. Both these cases come with a detachable holster for the S-Pen.

Samsung will also be selling an HDMI adapter you can use to bring up the DeX layout on a larger display. In this mode, you can also convert the table into a touch input or a drawing tablet. Other accessories include the Charging Dock POGO as well as various other input devices.
