Razer announced some great hardware at E3 2017


E3 2017 is well underway and it’s to be expected that the most popular gaming hardware maker, Razer, will be releasing some cool new gadgets at the world’s largest gaming conference. Here’s a round up of what Razer has cooking.

Razer Blade Stealth

Razer unveiled a new Blade Stealth laptop with a QHD+ 3200 x 1800 13.3-inch touch display and gunmetal grey color option. It’s a mere 0.52 inches thick, weighs in at a breeze 1.32 kgs and has up to nine hours of battery life. It come with Intel’s i7 processor available in 2.7 GHz and 3.5 GHz. and 16GB of memory. With an Intel HD Graphics 620 card, it’s not a gaming powerhouse. Razer seems to be trying to diversify it’s laptop offerings to casual users. Options of 256GB, 512GB and 1TB SSD storage and 16GB of RAM. Chroma anti-ghosting keyboard with individually backlit keys.

The chassis for the new stealth is made of aircraft grade aluminum and has a new 13.3-inch Quad HD+ (3200 x 1800) IGZO touch-enabled display, with 100 percent sRGB color space and 400 nit brightness. That new display is highlighted with a 50 percent thinner bezel than previous Stealth laptops. It’s available now for $1,399 (5138.5 Dhs).

Wireless Surround Sound Headset

Razer’s unveiled a new Thresher Ultimate headset that delivers wireless 7.1 surround sound and its compatible with PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The headphones feature 50 mm drivers, leatherette-wrapped memory foam ear cups and use 2.4GHz wireless that promised to be lag-free at a 40-foot range. You can also get cooling-gel infused ear cushions designed. It has on-headset controls, retractable boom mic that stows completely in the ear cup and comes with a headset stand & audio hub base station. It weighs approximately 408g and gives an estimated battery life of 16 hours with a 4-hour full charge window. They launch next month at a pricey, but worth-it $249.99 (917.8 Dhs).

The Razer fightstick gets a Street Fighter 5 upgrade

Razer’s PlayStation 4 Panthera fightstick is getting a Street Fighter 5 special edition. The new look for the fightstick features an homage to the classic Street Fighter Alpha cover image featuring Ryu and Akuma staring each other down. The art was designed by Long Vo, senior producer and artist at Udon Entertainment. This new controller goes on sale next month and has no pricetag yet.
