We’re only a few days away from the release of the Oppo R9 and R9 Plus*. The latest news to come out is that Oppo’s next devices will come with fingerprint readers, and really fast ones at that.
*Note the R9 will be called the F1 Plus in the Middle East.
According to the teaser, the phone will have a fingerprint sensor on its front that will unlock in 0.02 seconds. This essentially means your phone will unlock at almost the same instant you touch your phone. In a year where companies such as Huawei are proudly advertising 0.05-second unlock speeds, Oppo might just give them a run for their money. Based on teasers, the sensor appears to be oval in shape.
Other news states that the company might also be making a move into mobile payments systems such as Apple Pay and Samsung Pay.
