Oppo would have unveiled the Find X2 series at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020 tomorrow. However, with the conference in Barcelona being cancelled, the Chinese manufacturer has had to postpone its launch.
Thanks to a recent leak, it looks like we will not have to wait too long to officially see the Find X2 series though. Two weeks from now, on March 6, Oppo is set to hold its launch event.
But it seems we will be seeing more than just revolutionary and futuristic smartphones. Oppo is also planning to launch a new smartwatch alongside its flagship lineup for good measure.
Camera focused flagships
Oppo’s Find X2 series will no doubt bring high-end specifications including Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 octa-core processor, a large 4,065mAh battery and immersive 6.5-inch QHD+ 120Hz displays. In terms of memory, 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage would also not surprise us. And most likely, we could have two smartphones in the Find X2 and Find X2 Pro completing the lineup.
However, the camera department is what Oppo will be relying on. The Find X2 series is said to have a triple-camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor alongside 13MP and 8MP shooters. The primary lens will come equipped with Sony’s latest omnidirectional focusing sensor building on the current Dual Pixel technology. We will have to wait a bit more for exact details and how the smartphone’s front camera will function.
