Keeping phones a secret is now practically impossible. The OnePlus 3 was rumoured, leaked and ‘officially’ leaked and finally today it was launched. The device is just as expected. Pure value for money!
The OnePlus 3 comes with a 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED 1080p display with a layer of Gorilla Glass 4 to protect it. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 820 chip (2x 2.2GHz and 2x 1.6GHz) with 6GB of RAM. Internal storage stands at 64GB non-expandable.
The OnePlus 3 camera set-up is a 16MP Sony IMX298 rear camera, OIS, with phase detection autofocus, a LED flash and 4K video recording. The front camera, an 8MP Sony IMX179 sensor, comes with 1080p video capture. Unlike the HTC 10, the front cam doesn’t have OIS but comes with Electornic Image Stabalisation instead, which will be helpful.

The device is running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow with the Oxygen launcher, which except for a few apps such as Gallery and File Manager is pretty much the same as vanilla Android. The phone is made of anodized aluminium, is 7.35mm thick and will be available in graphite and soft gold colours.
The OP3 is be available at $399 (Dh1,465) and can be purchased invitation-free. Regional availability still hasn’t been announced.
