HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones is the official phone partner for the 25th James Bond movie, No Time To Die. The movie is now set to hit cinemas globally starting November 12, delayed from its intended April 2 launch. HMD Global Chief Product Officer Juho Sarvikas believes that with the delay, there is an opportunity to build up excitement.
First Nokia 5G smartphone
The film will feature Nokia’s first ever 5G smartphone. Alongside it, you will also see other future-proof Nokia phones. A 90-second video will form part of the company’s largest ever global marketing campaign, which will be released on March 8, teasing the smartphone. Of course, HMD Global will later unveil the smartphone on March 19 at an event in London.
The iconic Nokia 3310 makes a cameo
Nokia’s other future-proof phones that you will see in the film include the Nokia 7.2 and 3310. With the 7.2, you get a powerful 48MP triple-camera with Quad Pixel technology and ZEISS optics. The Nokia 3310 on the other hand requires to introduction. With this partnership, HMD Global wants to demonstrate its status as a global provider of Android smartphones. Furthermore, it aims to showcase its commitment to security, speed and innovation.
In the movie, the character of 00 agent Nomi is played by Lashana Lynch. Speaking to HMD Global, the actor said that her first phone was a Nokia 3210, which offered button and face customisation. Above all, it also offered the company’s iconic Snake game. Now, seeing the evolution of Nokia phones and being able to help unveil a new smartphone for the brand as Nomi is exciting for her.
