Whats new on the Xperia XZ3
In panel design, we see the same 5.7-inch, 18:9 display. The noticeable difference however, is the rounded corners Sony has opted for instead of its rectangular staple. The glass front has also been curved to fit the new curved edges, giving us a feeling that there’s more screen than screen.
Another striking change is the single rear camera on the back, as opposed to the rumours suggesting that Sony will finally adopt a multiple lens system like its competitors. Other than that, the shape is identical to the XZ2. The fingerprint scanner also does not move from the glass back.
From what can be expected on the new XZ3, Snapdragon’s 845 chip should be running things smoothly with the help of 6GB of RAM and about 128GB of storage. A battery with 3,240 mAh of juice is expected and its expected to run Android 9.0 P straight out of the box.
When can we expect the device?
As things stand, Sony is expected to announce the Xperia XZ3 at IFA on August 30. This could mean launch would be in September or later this year.
