We all know of at least one person who hates that all the good phones are large. This is true: If you want to buy a good phone, it is probably going to have a 5-inch plus screen. The S7 Mini could be the exception to this rule.
It’s a fact that a certain group wants monster features in tiny packages. Even Apple has noticed this and is apparently planning on launching the iPhone 5SE, which is going to pack all the features of the 6S into the body of the 5S.
According to Taiwanese website Apple Daily, Samsung has noticed this too and is planning on launching a smaller S7, dubbed the S7 Mini. This isn’t new territory for Samsung, which has rolled out mini versions of its flagships before, but in most circumstances this meant downgrading features such as the display, camera and/or processor.
This time around, however, rumours suggest that the South Korean major will launch the S7 Mini with the same Snapdragon 820 and Exynos 8890c processors as the S7 and S7 Edge. The phone will feature a 4.6-inch 720p screen, 12MP camera and 3GB RAM, all squeezed into a slim 9.9mm body.
Obviously this is all rumours at the moment, but keep an eye on this space for further info.
