After a year’s worth of speculation since OnePlus teased the news that its very own TV was in works, the Chinese company has finally revealed significant details of its OnePlus TV. So far, much is unknown about the product but its definitely enough to get OnePlus fans excited.
A simplistic approach
Apparently, the company will continue to follow its straightforward and burden-less approach with its TVs as well. Hence, the simplistic name and logo design. “The OnePlus TV is an extension of the brand’s Never Settle mindset. The OnePlus TV will feature smart capabilities coupled with the company’s burden-less design philosophy to offer users a smooth and connected experience.”
OnePlus also explains what made it simply add ‘TV’ besides its brand logo. “We’ve explained the meaning behind “OnePlus” – “One” represents “at the moment” and “Plus” means endless possibilities for the future, and we sort of made a tribute to this concept when we designed this logo – this is our OnePlus way to show the world that it is our first step to explore the endless possibilities in a broader spectrum.”
OnePlus TV: What can we expect?
According to media reports, the TV has been in the works for some time now and will have 39 variations to its smart TV. Speculation suggests that the sizes will vary starting from 43 inches screens all the way up to 75 inches. The 43-inch models will only be available for the Indian market, whereas 55- and 65-inch models will be global. The 75-inch model, however, is only reserved for China. Furthermore, OnePlus TVs will are expected to run Android and make use of LED panels for its screens. Some rumours also suggest the company plans to launch its sets as early as this September at IFA 2019. We will have to wait and see what OnePlus will bring to the table to differentiate itself from the herd. Lastly, no official pricing is available yet, we hope to see good value for money as the brand is synonymous with bargains.
