Among other predictions for last week’s MWC in Barcelona, Huawei’s P9 was definitely one of them. Unfortunately the company made no such announcement. Luckily for us, VentureBeat has some unseen info on the device.
According to VentureBeat, like the P8 family, there will be four devices for the P9. A standard, lite, phablet and premium version. The premium version will include the updated Kirin 955 SoC and 4GB of RAM. The regular edition will have the Kirin 950 and 3GB of RAM. Both devices will have a 5.2-inch 1080p display.
Based on what can be seen, the device has an aluminium unibody with the camera portion looking very much like the Huawei Nexus 6P. There’s also a USB Type-C port. The main thing to notice is the dual-camera setup on the device.
This is just a leak and there is no news on availability or price.
