Gear up for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare coming October 25

Will this game lead the resurgence of the Call of Duty franchise?

After much speculation, the newest title in the Call of Duty franchise is officially Modern Warfare. Published by Activision, the title delivers a powerful experience that has been re-imagined from the ground up.

Heart racing single-player story

With the return of single-player mode, Infinity Ward has employed a new engine to deliver an immersive and photo-realistic experience. It uses advancements in visual engineering alongside world volumetric lighting, 4K HDR and DirectX Ray-tracing on PC.

Infinity Ward wants to create “an emotionally charged experience” with its single-player campaign. Players will be put through heart-pounding missions through iconic European cities and fictional expanses of the Middle East. In addition to this, game-play will feature instances where split-second decisions by the players could affect the global balance of power.

Cross-play support

Something that will bring joy to fans is Infinity Ward’s effort to unite the community. Modern Warfare will support cross-play between PC and consoles so none of your friends will feel left out.

Similarly, there will be major developments with the traditional season pass. In other words, the emphasis will be more on free maps and content post the launch of the game accessible to all players. Not much more about multiplayer game-play has been revealed but according to Infinity Ward, there is a lot more in store.

When can you get it?

Starting October 25, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be available on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC. The PC version is fully-optimized and developed in partnership with Beenox and will be available via Blizzard’s Battle.net. If you pre-order a digital copy today, you will receive a prestige token that can be used immediately on Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

Even though the game is a few months afar, we are excited to see how it is received. The Modern Warfare series is one of the most iconic gaming series in history and we hope this lives up to that.
