Oppo held its global innovation event for the first time in Barcelona. The event was held in regards to the company’s advancements in mobile technologies both in devices and 5G connectivity.
Oppo and 5G
5G is the next big thing in the smartphone industry following foldable screens. It brings new possibilities of connectivity, networking and productivity among other things. Oppo has brought that realisation a little closer with its new 5G device and its Oppo 5G Landing Project.
Attendees at the Oppo Innovation Event were given a preview into the plans the company has for 5G’s future. Hologram calls, AR shopping and scenarios requiring 10X lossless zoom are just a few of the possibilities to look forward to.
Oppo also teamed up with Ericsson and Qualcomm to show off cloud gaming with a Soul Caliber 6 demo .
10X lossless zoom
10x lossless zoom is a new technology created with a triple-lens camera structure. It’s made up of a telephoto lens, ultra-wide-angle lens and main camera. Oppo included Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) on both the main camera and the telephoto lens for better and stabler images.
Oppo 5G device
The much anticipated 5G device from the company is set to have 4K and 8K video download/upload/cloud play, 3D video calling, 5G cloud gaming and multiplayer AR/VR game, in-store navigation, integrated AR shopping and immersive entertainment along with other exciting features.
