MSI gaming line-up at Computex 2017

MSI came to Computex 2017 in Taipei hauling a bag full of gaming goodies to show off. It brought its laptops, desktops, motherboards and peripherals showing us what’s in store for the year. The theme for this year’s exhibition was the Next Gaming Dimension.

We’re going to look at MSI’s laptop and desktop releases this year from its GT75VR all the way to its Trident 3 Arctic Gaming PC.

The GT75VR is an MSI beast when it comes to the specs it offers. This laptop has 3 GPU options: NVIDIA‘s GTX 1080, GTX 1070 SLI and  the GTX 1070, allowing for near desktop performance. Bundled in is also Intel’s Core i7 7820HK CPU with over 4GHz overclocking capability. SteelSeries features its rapid RGB mechanical with customizable  RGB illumination as well. Other main features include MSI True Colour Technology 2.0, Nahimic VR, MSI unique 120Hz Display of HDR colour, HDR video editing, and  of course, its Cooler Boost Titan.

Next up is what MSI claims to be the world’s slimmest gaming notebook with NVIDIA’s powerful GTX 1070 and a 15-inch 120Hz/3ms display. Also known as the Stealth Pro, this machine measures 17.7mm and weighs only 1.9kg. It features Cooler Boost Trinity that houses 5 heatpipes and Whirlwind Blade fans to keep this slim chassis quiet and cool at all times. Additionally, the Stealth Pro has ESS SABRE HiFi tech built in with 24bit/192kHz Hi-Res Audio to provide an immersive audio experience.

MSI GE63/73VR Raider

The Raider is MSI’s newest addition and is said to be inspired by exotic cars. It’s also been supplemented with a whole arsenal of features in addition to its angular appeal. The laptop comes in 15-inch and 17-inch variants and both have NVIDIA’s GTX 1070 and HDR-campatible, 120Hz panels with ultra-fast 3ms response time for amazing visuals. Also included in the package is MSI’s Cooler Boost 5 and Dynaudio’s hi-res speakers.

The gaming giants have expanded its desktop line with the inclusion of the Infinite series of machines. At the heart of these desktops, MSI tackles challenges by equipping its own award-winning MSI gaming graphics card. It also houses Intel’s Core i7 or i5 processor to help provide more-than-satisfying gaming experiences. On the design front, the Infinite A’s case boasts elements of electric circuitry traces, which can be customised with RGB colours via MSI’s Mystic Light software. It also features a side panel made of transparent tempered glass, allowing us to glance at the powerful hardware inside.

Say hello to MSI’s limited edition frost white gaming PC. But this beast isn’t just looks alone. It offers a customised NVIDIA GTX 1070 card and Intel’s latest Kaby Lake processor for performances above its console counterparts. This machine is also VR ready, so gamers can use them either way performance-wise.

That’s all the models it’s launched for now, but stay tuned for more news on MSI releases.
