Lenovo’s CEO Yang Yuanqing recently announced that Motorola has been able to sell over a million units since the release of the device. The Moto Z is a whole new way of looking at modular devices.
The new Moto Z is made from military aircraft-grade aluminium and stainless steel, is unbelievably thin but also durable at just 5.2mm with only an extra bump for a nice 13MP camera that comes with optical image stabilisation and laser autofocus said to help in taking stable photos even in low light. The front camera is a 5MP snapper that comes with a wide-angle lens and a flash to ensure your selfies are of professional standard. The Moto Z equips a 5.5-inch Quad HD AMOLED display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB RAM with a choice of 32 GB or 64 GB storage and a microSD card slot.
The Moto Z comes with a water-repellant coating, which shields the phone from rain, splashes and spills. The fingerprint reader is responsive and the battery claims to last up to 30 hours and if you find that isn’t enough, snap on the TurboPower Mod that gives you an extra 8 hours in just 15 minutes.
The Moto Mods family includes the awesome JBL SoundBoost speakers, functional Insta-Share Projector, useful power packs from Incipio, and the glorious Hasselblad True Zoom that’s will appeal to all smartphone photographers.
Lets hope the company continues to produce such devices. Best of luck Moto! Don’t forget to check out our review of the device and its mods.
