The new CineBeam 4K UHD projector line-up from LG Electronics makes its way to Europe for the first time at IFA 2019. It was developed to meet the growing demand for versatile, smart home cinema solutions. The line-up comprises LG’s first Ultra Short Throw (UST) 4K UHD CineBeam Laser (model HU85L) and LED projector (model HU70L). Both will be unveiled during IFA 2019 and be available to consumers in Europe starting next month.
LG 4K UHD CineBeam Laser (HU85L)
This projector has been the recipient of multiple accolades, including the 2019 CES Innovation Award, iF Design AEAR and Red Dot Design Award. It uses a three-channel laser system to generate colours with individual red and blue laser light sources. Green is created by LG’s exclusive wheel-less laser and LED technology and another blue light source.
The configuration makes for accurate colours, achieving 97 per cent of the DCI-P3 colour space and up to 12-bit colour processor. As a result, you get incredibly detailed and vibrant images of up to 2,700 ANSI lumens. Furthermore, the projector can be set just 5.6cm from the wall to project a 90-inch diagonal image, or placed 18cm away for a massive 120-inch picture thanks to its UST technology.
LG 4K UHD CineBeam LED (HU70L)
This projector is most compact of the line-up. It gives you an impressive home theatre experience with a deep and rich picture up to 140 inches in diagonal. At its 1,500 ANSI lumens, the projector covers 92 per cent of the DCI-P3 colour space. There are four LEDs on the projector representing RGB colours, with an additional LED used to boost image brightness.
LG’s new projector will enthrall viewers with realistic images thanks to HDR10 support. In addition, TruMotion technology makes pictures even more life-like, ensuring all on-screen motion is smooth and natural. With the inclusion of LG’s six-step 4K upscaler, you can even view Full HD content in ultra-sharp 4K resolution.
Both projectors give users a plethora of streaming and connectivity options. This includes I/O such as USB, HDMI, Ethernet and wireless mirroring via Android and iOS. Furthermore, with LG’s acclaimed webOS 4.5, users can access applications such as Netflix, Amazon Prime and YouTube.
