Lenovo’s thinnest, lightest Yoga Book is coming to Dubai

Lenovo’s latest Yoga Book, touted to be the world’s thinnest and lightest two-in-one device, launches in the UAE on December 1. The Yoga Book is designed with an aim of providing unrivaled productivity, creativity and mobility. One of its outstanding features is the Halo Keyboard, a full touchscreen back-lit keyboard that allows users to type as a normal keyboard and write or draw with a real-pen accessory. The Yoga Book also comes with an impressive 15 hours of battery life.

At 690g, Lenovo’s Yoga Book is the world’s lightest convertible notebook/tablet

The new Yoga Book is built beautifully, possessing two panels that open up like an ultra-thin notebook that, at 690g, is the lightest in the world. It boasts a 10.1-inch IPS Full HD screen, Dolby Atmos-enhanced sound and 64 GB of internal memory.

You can use a stylus to paint beautiful digital images, or write with an actual pen on a real piece of paper overlaying the keyboard – everything will be digitised and saved

The Halo Keyboard is one of the defining features of the device, and it got a lot of attention at the device’s IFA unveiling. Crafted with glass that’s been given a rough matte feel and finish, it also comes equipped with prediction and artificial learning software to increase productivity and an anti-glare coating to ensure the best possible touch-typing experience. The keyboard feature also allows for a few additional uses when paired with the real-pen accessory, which is a dual-use stylus. The stylus is simple and refined, allowing users to write with real ink tips on a piece of paper or notepad sheet covering the keyboard panel. Everything is instantly digitised and saved on the device. The Yoga Books re-creates the natural feel of drawing flat on a paper surface instead of directly onto a computer screen.

Most of us have been trained to write on paper from childhood. The Yoga Book marries the natural feel with technology

Using and managing several applications on the Yoga Book at the same time is now possible with the Book UI feature. This feature allows several apps to run at once through multiple windows that can be pinned, maximised or minimised, thanks to the Atom X5 processor and 4 GB of RAM. The device is available with either Android or Windows 10 software.

“We are excited to launch the Yoga Book in the UAE, a device that is not a tablet, laptop or notebook,” says Mohammad Hilili, General Manager of Lenovo Gulf and KSA. “It is the ideal solution providing productivity, creativity and entertainment for anybody, from students, graphic designers to entrepreneurs. New features such as the Halo Keyboard, real-pen accessory and Book UI will transform the consumer experience. We have worked closely with professionals from different industries to truly understand and meet the rapid evolution of the consumer needs.”

Available in either an Android or Windows 10 configuration, the Lenovo Yoga Book launches on December 1 in the UAE for Dh2,199

The Yoga Book is priced at Dh2,199 for both the Android and Windows version and will be available through all major retailers in the UAE from December 1.
