Earlier this week, Lenovo held its annual Tech Life event in Berlin. The company unveiled a series of new technology for the household and for office spaces. Smart Home Essentials, AR devices and laptops were among the releases.
The launches are fueled by Lenovo’s “Intelligent Transformation” strategy, meaning it wants to design things that make a difference and create technology that empowers customers with tomorrow’s technology today.
Smart Home Essentials at Tech Life
Lenovo’s Smart Home Essentials offer a simple one-stop shop for a smarter, more intelligent home. The Lenovo Link app serves as a centralised control centre to set up and manage all compatible devices. Users can control specific groups of devices at once or automate them to make certain actions at specific times during the day.
Lenovo Smart Home Essentials work with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, and they can also be programmed by other voice commands.using the Lenovo Smart Display as a control hub.
The Essentials are made up of the following products:
Lenovo Smart Plus, which is a small and easy-to-use device that can be plugged into any outlet, letting users control compatible devices that are connected to it.
Lenovo Smart Camera is a smart surveillance camera that lets you monitor live footage inside the home or office. This can be used even at night via infrared night vision. It also has a built-in mic and speaker for two-way communication.
Lenovo Smart Bulb lets users remotely schedule and customise lighting. Colour temperature and brightness can be adjusted and the lights can even be turned on or off from anywhere via the Lenovo Link app.
The Lenovo Smart Essentials range of products will be available starting in November in the US and eventually to the other markets such as Europe, the Middle East, Asia and Australia. The Smart Display is expected to be available in Australia and the UK from October.
