Why pick up the new version if you’ve already got the old one? The A8 2016 comes with an Exynos 7420 Octa-core processor and 3GB of RAM, which are both upgrades compared to last year’s A8 with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 and 2GB of RAM. The back camera remains the same at 16MP but the front camera gets upgraded from 5MP to an 8MP sensor. The battery is larger on the 2016 A8 with a 3,300mAh capacity compared to the 3,050mAh on the original device.
Other features include a 5.7-inch Full HD AMOLED display, metal uni-body, fingerprint scanner, 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded via microSD to 256GB. The new A8 runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
