Nikon’s latest D5600 camera is aimed towards photography hobbyists and content creators akin enabling them to capture and share their memories instantly. The entry-level DX-format DSLR brings a variety of popular features, both new and borrowed from more advanced Nikon cameras.
Primary features of the Nikon D5600
- Support for SnapBridge functionality enables users to establish a constant connection between the camera and a smart device via low energy Bluetooth. This allows for an automatic transfer of photos for instant sharing on social media or for storage on Nikon’s Image Space. Additionally, high-speed transfer of certain images, movies and remote capture of still images is supported with Wi-Fi enabled.
- A 3.2-inch vari-angle LCD touch screen monitor provides shooting flexibility and convenience. In spite of retaining the familiar interface of the older D5500, the newer D5600 supports scrolling through images in full-frame playback like the higher end D5 and D500 cameras.
- Equipped with a pixel count of 24.2-million pixels and a Nikon CMOS sensor alongside the EXPEED 4 image-processing engine, the camera is able to capture images with superior rendering characteristics utilizing NIKKOR lenses very well. Broader ISO levels ranging from 100 to 25600 further improve noise suppression when capturing scenes under dim lighting.
- The newly equipped time-lapse movie function allows users to capture vivid Full-HD video files and compress them into shorter ones entirely within the camera. This aids the filming of scenes expressing change such as the rolling of clouds or the movement of people along a bustling street. Additionally, the exposure smoothening function compensates for variation in exposure occurring due to natural scenic changes like a sunset.
