Huawei P20 and P20 Plus leak in new renders

The P20 Plus is said to have a triple camera sensor

While Huawei has opted out of this year’s MWC, the rumours around the highly anticipated P20 series haven’t died down. New press renders of the Huawei P20 and P20 Plus have leaked and yes they’ve got notches.

The images come from leaks website iChangeZone. It’s not said which device is which, but if Huawei follows the pattern it did with the Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro then the left device is the P20 and right is the P20 Plus. With this year’s Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro, the fingerprint sensor was on the front of the former and the back of the latter. The same seems to be the case with the upcoming devices too.

Huawei P20 and P20 Plus: Specs

Leaked specifications for the Plus version include a 6-inch 2,160×1,080 display, the Kirin 970 processor with 6 or 8GB of RAM and 128 or 256GB storage options. If Huawei is following the Mate trend then the P20 might have a smaller but 2k display with a resolution of 2,160×1,440. Both devices are also rumoured to have 4,000mAh batteries.

The difference in the devices from the Mate series comes with the P, which stands for photography. The P20 Plus is said to be coming with a triple camera sensor. One sensor will be a 12MP RGB (colour) sensor, the second a 16MP monochrome (black and white) sensor and the new entry will be a 16MP telephoto lens. While aperture is expected to be f/1.8, there’s no news on OIS. The front camera is rumoured to be 8MP.
