GoPro has just launched their Hero7, and unlike its predecessors (namely the Hero 5 and Hero 6), it comes in three variants.
GoPro Hero7 Black
This is the big brother in the group. The GoPro Hero 7 Black comes with 4K @ 60fps and the company’s HyperSmooth video stabilisation which promises “gimbal-like smoothness”. The sensor is a 12MP shooter and can capture 30fps photo bursts and RAW photos too. There’s also the SuperPhoto Auto HDR function.
The Black model also comes with an external mic input, removable battery and Live streaming capabilities. It offers high bandwidth video capture up to 78Mbps in 4K/60.
GoPro Hero7 Silver
The middle of the trio is the GoPro Hero7 Silver. It had a 10MP sensor and records at 4K but tops at 30fps. It also comes with regular image stabilisation.
GoPro Hero7 White
The basic and most budget friendsly model is the GoPro Hero 7 White. It comes with the same 10MP sensor as the Silver but tops out at 1080p @ 60fps and also comes with regular stabilization.
All three models are waterproof upto 10m without a housing and feature a 2″ touchscreen. Another very interesting feature all three cameras have is the new vertical portrait mode for Instagram Stories and others such social media.
