Last month we saw Google teasing its Pixel 4 with a twitter post. The tweet was a photo showcasing the Pixel 4’s rear alone. We got no further information whatsoever regarding the front of the device up until now. Yes, Google Pixel 4 XL may have fully leaked now with its complete renders available to us. Thanks to Pricebaba and OnLeaks for this one.
Google Pixel 4: Leaks
The leaked CAD renders are here and we can take a moment to appreciate that this year Google has ditched the notch. The Google Pixel 4 XL will also be more similar to the Pixel 4 now than in the previous year. Instead of the notch, the phone now is going to have a relatively thick bezel on the top compared to the chin. The bezel houses two selfie cameras and two currently unknown sensors.
Speculation suggests Google may be using the sensors for facial recognition but we will have to wait on that one. Additionally, there is no visible fingerprint sensor on the phone, which leads us to think that there may be an under-screen sensor for it.
The Pixel 4 XL is reportedly going to sport a 6.25-inch display, down from 6.3 inches on the Pixel XL 3. Its also been reported that the back of the phone will be made using glass. The Pixel XL 4 will have the same square camera module as the Pixel 4 as gathered from the renders and leaks. The camera module consists of two primary sensors and one 3D time-of-flight sensor.
The secondary camera is most likely to be a 16MP telephoto lens. The bottom panel of the phone sees a USB Type-C port flanked by speaker grills. It’s also worth mentioning that the 3.5mm audio jack is nowhere to be found.
