The Rocketbook Everlast notebook aims for simplicity of use. It provides that classic pen and paper experience, but in today’s’ digital environment. While it may feel and look like a traditional notebook, it is infinitely reusable and is connects to most of your cloud services. And it’s the latest Kickstarter to have achieved more than 760% funding.
The condition to use this book is to only use a pen from the Pilot Frixion line. When you use these, the writing sticks to the Everlast “pages” like regular paper. But add a drop of water or use a wet napkin and the pages erase like magic. This way you don’t have to worry about smudging and dry rubbing. The books come in two sizes, the A4 letter size and the Executive A5 size.
The Rocketbook Everlast comes with its own Rocketbook app. That means before your notes go off the page, they go online to your preferred cloud accounts, be it Google Drive, Dropbox, or Evernote. The app can also accurately and quickly capture and send these notes via a patent-pending image capture technology.
Additionally, there are 7 unique symbols at the bottom of the page. Rocketbook calls them the “magic buttons” behind their quick and easy cloud organization. Each icon assgns itself to a destination of your choice, be it a folder inside Dropbox, Evernote, Google Drive, Box, Slack or your email address. When you mark that icon on your page, the Rocketbook app automatically files your notes in the right place.
The pages feature a unique dot grid pattern for both text notes, sketches and diagrams. Each page of the Rocketbook Everlast contains a special QR code which tells the app the page number of each scan. Therefore, the notes are always in the right order regardless of the order in which they are scanned. Each page also has a narrow dark border surrounding it allowing the app to find pages quickly and easily regardless of environment.
