Dell CES 2017 Roundup – Part 1

CES 2017 just got over, and Dell had quite a decent lineup to show us this year. They unveiled a series of innovative devices that could re-define personal computing. In short, they all come with Windows 10 and the latest 7th Gen Intel Core processors. Basically, maximizing productivity and creativity bundled with amazing colourful displays. We’re going to round up their best and brightest below,

The Dell Canvas

It started out as a full-fledged smart desk concept and consequently evolved into the Canvas we see now. The Canvas is part of a new category of smart workspace technology to increase creativity and productivity for developers and designers alike. It comes with a 27-inch QHD display for angular or for flat-on-a-desk use. The screen also allows for touch capabilities, and the use of a digital pen. It is similar to Microsoft’s Surface Studio in design and usability, and can connect to any PC and run off its hardware. This works in tandem to your existing display creating a dual workspace to increase your work efficiency. The Dell Canvas will be available in the Middle East sometime in March. No information is available on pricing yet.

XPS 13 2-in-1 and XPS 15

The award winning XPS line is back for another round this year with its incredible new convertible XPS 13 and a more powerful XPS 15. The new XPS 13, is now the world’s smallest 13-inch 2-in-1, and offers a 360-degree hinge with Continuum. It also provides up to 15 hours of battery life and has an extremely clear and vibrant QHD+ InfinityEdge touch display. The device is also fan-less keeping it silent and the quick-booting solid state drive has it up and running in seconds. Most all-in-one PCs are quite a feat by themselves, but few can do sound like the new Dell XPS 27 AIO. The model was co-created with Jack Joseph Puig, a Grammy award winning producer. The new XPS 27 AIO, cranks its sounds to whole new levels using 10 50W built-in speakers with full frequency range and high-fidelity audio. The display isn’t shy of impressive either.
