Blackberry Key2 is here and it looks way better than its predecessor


Over the past year, we’ve stated this many times before we loved the previous Blackberry workhorse, the KeyOne. This year the company has looked upon the uniquely designed KeyOne and brings about its successor the Key2.

Blackberry Key2 – Whats new? 


The Blackberry Key2 gets a slightly redesigned body where while the general outlook of the body remains the same. The body is not slimmer but edged. The back gets replaced with plastic compared to last year’s rubber feel. 


The keyboard on the Blackberry Key2 sees a lot of small changes. Firstly, the keys are now 20% larger than last year. Secondly, they are now matte finish. Thirdly, there is the addition of the new ‘Speed Key’ for faster access to apps. Lastly, the keyboard still acts as a trackpad and has the fingerprint reader is embedded in the space key. 


Keeping up with 2018, the Blackberry Key2 comes with a dual 12MP (f/1.8 & f.2.6) setup on the back. The camera comes with phase, detection, a dual LED flash, records video in 4K at 30fps and comes with portrait mode. The front camera is an 8MP camera.

The Blackberry Key2 will be available for Dh2399 and should be on sale this month onwards.
