Apple’s new iPad brings more screen area and support for its full-sized Smart Keyboard at an affordable price tag of Dh1,349. It features the fast A10 Fusion chip, Apple Pencil support and great all-day battery life.
Bigger display yet portable
The new 10.2-inch Retina display of the iPad has nearly 3.5 million pixels and a wide viewing angle. This makes it the perfect tool for creative expression and augmented reality (AR) experiences that take advantage of its enhanced cameras and sensors.
Its powerful A10 Fusion chip brings two times faster performance over a traditional top-selling Windows PC making it ideal for multitasking and smooth gameplay. Furthermore, the device is designed to be ultra portable and durable, weighing only 1 pound (0.45kg) and for the first time features an enclosure made of 100 per cent recycled aluminium.
New experience with iPadOS
iPadOS brings powerful new capabilities and intuitive features to the iPad. A redesigned home screen shows more applications on each page and working with multiple files and documents from the same application is now easier. This is because of the updates to Split View as well as the ability to switch between multiple applications using Slide Over.
With Apple Pencil, you can open up new ways to be creative and more productive. Consumers can now mark up and send entire webpages or documents by simply swiping the Apple Pencil from the bottom corner of the screen. Furthermore, the redesigned tool palette gives easier access to useful tools, colors and shapes.
Even managing documents with the Files application on iPadOS gets better with support for external USB drives and file servers. With iPad, you even get desktop-class browsing with support for popular web applications including Squarespace and Google Docs.
