By now, seasoned techies have already started looking towards the Mobile World Congress (MWC) because they have got all the info they needed from CES.
All the important announcements have been made, the cool products have been launched, the UAE finally got Netflix (yay!) and with a day and a half to go – nothing much is really going to happen. You guys know all you need to know.
That’s where we come in. Did you guys know about the headphones that’s paired 40mm large format drivers with an action cam?
Nope? I guessed so. Rest assured, now you do.
This is a pair of DJ headphones that is capable of recording video through a built-in DVR camera which can also stream the captured video in real time to a screen near you.
Created by American audio electronics company Altec Lansing, the main aim of the headphones is to let the crowd see itself from the DJ’s view.
At the press of a button, the 1080P/30fps DVR camera embedded into one ear cup will start recording, capturing the action through a front-facing lens.
The results can be streamed via the integrated Wi-Fi or stored on the product’s 8GB internal memory and/or an external micro SDHC card up to 32GB.
Other features will include:
- A built-in rechargeable lithium ion battery with up to seven hours of battery life
- An integral microphone with wind cancellation and song navigation/telephony buttons
- TTS for voice activation and spoken caller ID by name, enabling the headphones to double as a personal listening device via a paired smartphone
- Foldable construction for easy portability
- Carrying case
The DVR DJ-Style Headphones from Altec Lansing is set for a late Q2 2016 launch, at a MSRP of US199.99.
