Huawei and Honor already have a pretty decent skin of Google’s Android OS. It’s called EMUI and is modified with a lot of features that are not found in the Android Open Source Project (AOSP).

However, Team OpenKirin feels that a lot of the users would like to see a more stock experience, vanilla if you’d prefer. They’ve released three versions of the ROMs, LineageOS, Resurrection Remix OS and CarbonOS.

How to get it?

Currently, it is available to only 17 devices and a minimum requirement is for the device to be running EMUI 8 or above.

If you are eligible, you need to download the ROMs from the OpenKirin website, and follow the instructions as directed.
