John Oliver’s summary of Samsung in 2016

Just when Samsung thought it was safe, Last Week Tonight happened

Samsung is trying to move on from 2016, like a person desperately wants to move on from a bad relationship. Unfortunately, that’s not going to happen any time soon. In last week’s episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, the Bedfordshire-born comedian discusses the company’s year gone by.

From the South Korean tech giant’s TVs to smartphones and washing machines to smart watches, nothing was spared.

John Oliver

John Oliver is known was his witty and in-depth coverage of US and international current affairs. The host was talking about the recent Wikileaks revelation, which accused the CIA of using smart devices from companies such as Apple and Samsung to spy on its own citizens.

While the entire video is fantastic satire, it’s not the reminder audiences need just when Samsung’s S8 launch is right around the corner.
