Projector manufacturer BenQ recently unveiled the TK800, a true 4K HDR projector meant for an immersive sports viewing experience. BenQ showcased the TK800’s capabilities with a live 4K stream of the South Korea vs Germany Fifa World Cup match in Dubai.
4K Football Experience
The BenQ TK800 comes with a high color accuracy and a 4K lens system to avoid any blurs while catching every vivid detail. It offers 8.3 million pixels, with XPR technology for additional clarity. Custom Football and Sports modes are also available. BenQ claims that these modes will increase the image quality of the stadium and players, creating an immersive experience for sports fans. All these features are packed into a compact and lightweight body.
BenQ says that the projector is optimised for sports, thanks to bright and vivid colors and an improved 4K color wheel. The BenQ TK800 also comes with HDR10 support, and Auto HDR Colour Rendition as an exclusive feature. BenQ’s HDR technology is also projector optimized, allowing for better color production and saturation.
In terms of audio, the TK800 comes with CinemaMaster Audio+ 2 which is said to create deep bass and delicate high notes. However, we did not get a chance to see this as BenQ used the in-house speaker system for the match.
The BenQ TK800 is now available for Dh5,500 inclusive of VAT.
