Asus laptops revealed at Computex 2017

Asus just finished unveiling this year’s line-up at Computex 2017 in Taipei, and it’s quite an impressive line-up. Surprisingly, it only showcased its new line of laptops. There were no smartphones or Zenbo robots or any other strange-looking tech.

Asus ZenBook Pro

Leading the charge is the brand-new Asus ZenBook Pro (UX550), weighing in at 1.8kg and measuring only 18.9mm thick. This beauty is also constructed in an all-aluminium unibody design with a stunning 15.6-inch 4K UHD NanoEdge display.

Inside, Intel’s latest Core i7-7700HQ powers this laptop along with NVIDIA’s gaming grade GeForce GTX1050 Ti graphics, a 1TB SSD and 16GB DDR4 RAM. The ZenBook Pro also comes equipped with Harmon Kardon speakers, fingerprint sensors, Windows 10 and a battery life claiming 14 hours.

Asus ZenBook Flip S

Next up is the Asus ZenBook Flip S weighing in at 1.1kg and measuring 10.9mm thick. Asus is claiming the ZenBook Flip S is the slimmest convertible laptop in the world. This laptop’s 13.3-inch 4K multi-touch NanoEdge display can flip 360 degrees and is powered by an Intel Core i7-7500U processor, a 1TB SSD and up to 16GB of RAM.

Asus has also installed a new cooling system that uses state-of-the-art components including a liquid-crystal-polymer fan impeller that’s just 0.3mm thin. The ZenBook Flip S also features fast charging and claims to charge 60 per cent in just 49 minutes.

Other releases

Asus also shines some light on its VivoBook series and the ZenBook 3 Deluxe. The ZenBook 3 Deluxe is an improvement on the ZenBook 3 from last year. It’s bigger than last year’s model and comes with a 14.4-inch full HD display and is 12.9mm thick.

The Asus VivoBook S is a 17.9mm-thin laptop with a 15-inch screen, an Intel Core i7 processor and an NVIDIA GTX 940MX GPU inside. The Asus Vivobook Pro comes with a 15.6-inch 4K display instead and a NVIDIA GTX 1050 GPU.

That’s all for this year from Asus at Computex 2017!
