Overcooked: Four-player kitchen co-op madness

A chilly cooking session in the Arctic. As evident from the ice platforms, the game will involve more than simply moving from pans to chopping boards

A cooking game?

It’s true. Overcooked’s Onion Kingdom is in grave danger and only the best chefs can save it. You will journey through 30 campaign levels featuring a host of unusual kitchens on a quest to become master chefs capable of conquering an ancient edible evil that plagues the land. It’s probably foie gras.

Overcooked Food Truck
Thought the ice looked tough? Try prepping biryani between two trucks on a moving highway in this Speed-inspired level

Traverse through the campaign solo or engage in classic, chaotic couch co-op for up to four players. You’ll have to cook a range of dishes and work together in order to become the most effective and ultimate team. Once you’ve finished playing as a team, you can even go head to head in nine competitive levels for either two or four players.

There are 28 standard campaign levels plus an additional introductory level and final boss to conquer. His name is Ever Peckish. We’re guessing he’s a form of sentient foie gras injected with hormonal steroids.

“Arr… who be hungry, my mateys? Port to starboard with the steak!”

Up to four players can traverse every campaign level in local co-op. This could be great for parties. Not enough controllers? No problem, we have split pad controls! Play with two people sharing the same controller. This could save your failing relationship!

Pick from 14 different chefs in a range of unusual kitchens to play across with different recipes to master, cook soup, burritos, burgers and fish and chips.

Overcooked is now available to download for Xbox One via the Xbox Games Store, PlayStation 4 via the PlayStation Store and for PC via Steam.

Bon gamepetit!

(Sorry, that was atrocious)
