Fortnite rumoured to be a Samsung Note 9 exclusive

Time to shell out the V-Bucks.

In a surprising turn of events, recent reports suggest that popular multi-platform shooter Fortnite might debut on the Android platform as an exclusive for the Samsung Note 9.

According to a report by XDA Developers, Fortnite will launch on Android on August 24, as an exclusive to Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 9 for its first month. After its first month of availability, the title will be playable on more than one type of Android phone. However, we might have to download the game directly from the Epic Games website. Rumours suggest that is simply a means of Epic Games getting around paying Google a cut of its profits from Fortnite. However, we still have to wait and see if this is true.

9to5Google also reported that anyone who orders a Galaxy Note 9 will get somewhere in the range of $100 (Dh367) to $150 worth of in-game cash (V-bucks) for use in Fortnite. There are also rumors that hit “Fortnite” streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins might make an appearance at the phone’s unveiling.

Samsung is set to reveal the Note 9 on August 9 and has already teased the event extensively. There are chances that we might see a better battery as well as performance upgrades in the flagship phablet. Rumours also suggest a new colour for the flagship phablet

Regarding the Fortnite exclusivity, Samsung and Epic Games both have not released any statements.
