Uncharted: The Lost Legacy – Welcome Ladies

Remember Nathan Drake? Swash buckling adventurer with a penchant for danger?. We thank you for the adventures in the last decade. A Thief’s End was truly an excellent end to your tale. But now it is time to pass the torch. Move over Nathan, the ladies are here. Say hello to Nadine Ross and Chloe Frazer in Uncharted: The Lost Legacy.

Naughty Dog once again brings us a rich detailed “if-only” history lesson, peppered with your usual arsenal of goons, booby traps, intricate puzzles, worthy treasures and exciting adventures.

Plot

First things first, the main protagonists of the game are the two ladies we saw in the original Uncharted series. In this title, Chloe Frazer enlists the help of Nadine Ross’ mercenary skills to find and recover an ancient Indian artefact – the Lost Tusk of Ganesha.

This adventure takes place deep in the mountains of India, specifically the Western Ghats. The ladies must stay on their toes in their hunt for the Tusk as they make their way through the various perils the game offers. The main obstacle in their way is an Indian rebel leader called Asav who is also on the same quest, coincidentally.

Game Play

As we mentioned earlier, you control two characters, Chloe and Nadine in The Lost Legacy. Chloe is a famed treasure hunter who has skills and knowledge that rival even Nathans. From her first appearance in Uncharted 2: Among Thieves , she has shown considerable skill in combat and in her driving skills. She is impulsive and relies more on her wit to get her out of tight spots. She’s known to be a lone wolf, so it will be interesting to see how she deals with having a partner by her side through the entire game.

Nadine Ross made her debut in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, and was the leader of paramilitary group known as Shoreline. Once the agency shut down, she became a free agent of chaos and a gun for hire. She’s the calm and collected one in a tight situation, so we can expect to see some major disagreements between Chloe and her during the game.

The Lost Legacy is definitely a different game from the last Uncharted game. It will explore a different type of relationship between two characters that could not be more different from each other. The two women have to work together towards a common goal while being put under immense pressure from their goal and the others who are aiming for the same treasure.

Overall, this game seems to be going back to Uncharted’s roots, which will be an interesting concept to see play out.

Availability

From what we’ve been told the game is expected to launch on the 23rd of August, exclusively for the Playstation 4.
