Assassins Creed Origins is confirmed and looks promising

Assassins Creed is a fan-favorite franchise and always manages to build a great deal of hype around each installment. Rumors of an origin game have been swirling for some time now and Microsoft confirmed it at its E3 2017 press conference last night. After almost 2 years, Assassins Creed Origins will explore how the said Assassins came to be. The game is set on the historic and sandy backdrop of ancient Egypt. The Assassin of this franchise is Bayek. Playing out his personal story will lead players to the inception of the Assassin’s Brotherhood.

Assassin’s Creed Origins is confirmed for release Oct. 27 on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. It was first showed off on Microsoft’s latest Xbox One X at its press conference. The game looks great, so if you’re planning on getting the Xbox One X, it’ll be worth the wait to play Assassins Creed in all its 4k/60fps glory.

With the new Assassin comes new gameplay elements as well. There’s a brand new upgrade system and you also have a pet bird. Aside from looking like a loyal pet, you can control the bird to fly around your area to get a “bird’s eye view” of your surroundings and stalk potential targets. Assassins Creed Origins also hints at gladiatorial-style combat and supernatural creatures, may be a first for the franchise. The last installment, Assassins Creed: Unity was a slight disappointment to the series.
