Razer’s Project Valerie prototype laptop comes with three built-in screens

Gaming laptops are having a bit of a renaissance since last year. Nvidia had a role to play in this with the launch of desktop-grade graphic cards for gaming laptops with their GTX 1000 Series. Now Razer has gone and unveiled a crazy three-screened laptop prototype that every gamer will first scoff at and then deeply desire.

Project Valerie is the world’s first laptop to come built-in with three monitors. You read that right. It’s just a prototype but if Razer is creating such fanfare around it, be assured it will see the light of day very soon. Best not to think about how much it will cost though. Each screen measures at 17.3 inches with 4K resolution, obviously. That totals to a 12K, 11520 x 2160 pixels of breathtaking visual real estate. The two additional screens slide out on each side of the main screen creating a beautiful 180-degree view powered by Nvidia’s Surround View technology. The side screens have their own power supplies baked in with all internal wiring.

The prototype laptop comes built-in with Razer’s latest laptop mechanical keyboard, an all-aluminum case with specs comparable to the 17-inch Blade Pro. Final specs like the GPU, RAM etc. are yet to be revealed. You would think a behemoth in your hands but Project Valerie measures in at a modest 1.5 inches thick and weighs just over 5kgs. It’s the goldilocks of gaming laptops. Not too big and not too small, it’s just about right to act as a brilliant desktop machine and wow your friends at a LAN party.
